Halo Halo

Halo-halo (from "halo" = mix) is a favorite Filipino dessert or snack. It is basically a mixture of sweet preserved beans(red beans, chick peas), coconut meat (macapuno), jackfruit (langka), pounded dried rice (pinipig), sweet yam (ube), cream flan (leche flan), shreds of sweetened plantain (saba), filled with crushed ice, milk (or coconut milk) and topped with ice cream. The halo-halo basically is sweet, creamy, and a filling dessert.



This Filipino concoction is quite popular during the hot summer months (March-June) in the country, just as ice cream is. It is usually served in tall, clear glasses that show its colorful contents that tempt one's taste buds. One's thirst is even made worse by the perspiring ice-filled glass, and the melting ice cream on top.

Ito na naman ako pagkain na naman ang pinapag usapan, kasi ba naman ang tagal rin naming di nakakain ng halo halo. Kaya nung umuwi kami eh parang twice a week atah kami kumakain ng halo halo.

Rasonz (or Razons) – Well I’m not sure sa spelling pero ito ang boto ng aking sister. This is located at Market Market sa Fort. Ika nga ng aking sister, “minimalist” ang kanilang style dahil hindi mashado marami ang variety ng kanilang sahog pero ang nagpapasarap sa tingin ko ay ang pagka puro ng yelo., ice shaver kasi ang ginamit kaya swabe ang flow (hi hi hi hi hi). Creamy kasi at yellow din ang nangingibabaw na color. Siguro dahil mas masarap kumain pag nangigitata ka sa lagkit ng pawis sa iyong katawan dahil sa sobrang init!!!! Jusko po!!! At dami ng tao.

Balintasayaw – located at Silang highway right after Silang town exit going to Tagaytay. Now this is not for the weak stomach. What I mean is duon sa maliliit ang sikmura kasi ang kanila ay Buko Halo.



Buko Halo is a variation of Halo halo. Its just the same ingredients exept that Halo halo is placed in a Coconut shell and instead of shaved coconut meat is you have to scrape the meat off yourself from the shell which makes it more heavy on your guts. Bwah hah hah hah!!!!!!! Winner!!!!!

Nakakatulong din ang garden ambiance dahil ang view ay kanya kanyang kubo ang mga customers so you have privacy and feel nyo talaga ang nature with all the trees and trellis around. Mas maganda kumain dito pag gabi dahil mas nakakadagdag ng ganda ng view ang mga Christmas lights.
